Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED graduate
  • ServSafe Certification required
  • Basset Certification required
  • Current and valid driver’s license and means of transportation required
  • Ability to handle stress under pressure
  • Willingness to maintain a clean, healthy, and safe working environment
  • Ability to coordinate multiple activities with attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Job Duties

  • Be fluent in menus for events, both food and beverage
  • Execute proper steps of service to execute exceptional service
  • Walk guests through menu to answer any questions and assist with any necessary accommodations for allergies and dietary restrictions
  • Listen intently to guests and be aware of body language to properly tailor the service experience
  • Check back with guests about each dish and beverage and refresh beverages as needed
  • Be thoroughly familiar with event menu and specials including ingredients, cooking techniques, and plating
  • Take instruction from Event Captain and follow through
  • Tolerate potential allergens including peanut products, egg, dairy, gluten, soy, seafood, and shellfish
  • Verbally communicate calmly and positively with kitchen and service team and event host to ensure timely execution of events and quality of service
  • Assist Catering Captain with any special guest requests
  • Assist with load out and load back in at home locations
  • Work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends
  • Stand or walk a minimum of 8 hours as needed
  • Hold ServSafe and Basset Certification
