Job Requirements

  • Associates Degree or 60 verifiable college credits minimum
  • At least 2 years of school Office Management experience preferred
  • Experience in bookkeeping and accounting
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, QuickBooks
  • Desire to work in a diverse K-12 school environment
  • Ability to be polite, courteous, and tactful with public and co-workers

Job Qualifications

  • A minimum of Associates Degree or 60 verifiable college credits minimum
  • At least 2 plus years of school Office Management preferred
  • Knowledge and practical experience with bookkeeping and accounting
  • Knowledge and practical experience using MS Word, Excel, QuickBooks

  • Polite, courteous, and tactful with the public and co-workers

Job Duties

  • Works collaboratively with Principal and Human Resource Department to ensure a quality onboarding experience for new employees including ability to work within Paylocity's onboarding module for timely, accurate, and completed new hire information
  • Supports school personnel in completing electronic Human Resources submissions including position changes, benefit plan offerings, and terminations
  • Coordinates workers compensation process for injured employees providing documentation, location to be seen, and immediate HR notification
  • Works with Principal in managing and maintaining all confidential employee and school documents
  • Ensures compliance and accuracy in the HR Time and Attendance system in Paylocity
  • Manages employees in self-posting PTO in Paylocity system
  • Audits payroll previews presented by Payroll Department to authorize processing
  • Maintains time and effort logs for After School Tutoring and other events
  • Works directly with Director of Budget and Grant Administration and Contract and Procurement Manager on all purchase orders and goods needed for school
  • Manages school inventory for items purchased
  • Processes all invoices promptly according to GEO Procurement Policies
  • Responsible for daily cash/check deposits and ensures compliance with Currency Transaction Reporting Requirements and company policies
  • Manages and reconciles balances of ECA accounts timely and submits monthly reports back to GEO main office
  • Works with Contracts and Procurement Manager to ensure all school contracts are updated annually and processed timely
  • Collaborates with School Principal and Director of Budget and Grant Administration to ensure school stays within approved yearly budgets set by GEO Management
