Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior office experience preferred
  • proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • ability to maintain confidentiality
  • demonstrated professionalism and integrity
  • experience working with seniors or in senior housing desirable

Job Duties

  • Assist the office staff in daily operations
  • answer phones and assist residents
  • conduct monthly tenant recertifications including meetings and calculations
  • process interim certifications as needed
  • file quarterly security account statements
  • maintain office supply inventory and reorder supplies
  • update birthday list and deliver cards including holiday card exchange
  • assist with facility newsletter
  • post and compose obituaries with family permission
  • coordinate and assign floor captains
  • maintain accurate phone lists for residents, staff, and emergency personnel
  • manage key FOB security system
  • inform Director daily of residents admitted to hospitals or care facilities
  • assist tenants with paperwork
  • take messages and assist callers
  • type reports, letters, and memos
  • report incidents to Director
  • respond timely to emergencies
  • attend and assist at resident functions
  • make copies for residents
  • answer basic resident questions
  • participate in workshops and seminars
  • keep current with changes in regulations and services
  • provide backup for administrative functions
  • enter work orders
  • function as a team member
  • maintain confidentiality and professionalism
