Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in office administrative support
  • Proficiency in Outlook or comparable email application
  • Proficiency in Excel or comparable spreadsheet application
  • Proficiency in MS Word or comparable word processing application
  • Ability to perform receptionist duties
  • Data entry skills including narratives and billing data
  • Keyboarding skills with effective words per minute typing speed

Job Qualifications

  • Training, education, or experience in office and administrative support work
  • Competency in applying general office practices
  • Ability to use independent judgment in prioritizing work
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent customer service skills both phone and in person
  • Professional and patient communication skills

Job Duties

  • Manage incoming calls and direct them to appropriate staff
  • Serve as backup for telephone duties
  • Manage and distribute incoming and outgoing office communications including mail and faxes
  • Redact adoption records for prospective adoptive parents
  • Burn CDs for court and agency orders
  • File closed assessments and permanency records
  • Support other administrative processes for OCFS programs as needed
