Job Requirements
- High school graduation or equivalent
- Two years of administrative support experience
- Working knowledge of modern office practices, procedures, and equipment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to resolve problems independently and provide program information tactfully
- Valid North Carolina driver’s license
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen and background check
- Willingness to travel occasionally
- Ability to work up to 24 hours per week not exceeding 1,000 hours annually
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of additional business and/or computer courses
- Two years of experience in administrative support duties
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent oral and written communication abilities
- Ability to resolve problem situations independently
- Tactful interaction with public and officials
Job Duties
- Operate multi-line switchboard for a staff of 85
- Serve as initial public contact responding to inquiries
- Perform data entry, composition, and records/file management
- Maintain office supply inventory
- Assist with meeting and conference room coordination
- Provide clerical support to multiple departments
- Respond to general and technical assistance calls
