Job Requirements

College degree preferred or 3-5 years related experience in communications, event planning, or social media strategy
proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Canva, Vimeo and Dropbox, Raiser’s Edge and other database management tools
excellent interpersonal and communication skills
ability to work independently and as a part of a team when needed
strong organizational skills and intercultural communication skills
strong sense of responsibility, accountability and confidentiality
Spanish literacy or communication is a plus but not required
attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
availability to work evenings and weekends as needed
ability to drive and have a valid driver's license
practicing Catholic is a plus

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

Coordinate all events to promote the ministry of WMM online and in-person
provide additional assistance to the director and other staff as needed
coordinate all aspects of event planning including venue selection, catering, entertainment, content, logistics
manage event setup, execution, and breakdown
develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies to promote the organization's mission, programs, and impact
prepare appropriate collateral materials for display or distribution
recruit and coordinate event staff and volunteers
manage mailing lists, coordinate publication and printing of appeals
coordinate all communication and administrative needs of the office including applications, registrations, feedback surveys, and email updates
assist with preparation of mission experiences
communicate information about trips and programs through appropriate channels
support preparation for presentations and events using resources like PowerPoint, Canva, and Publisher
engage with the organization's initiatives through the quarterly newsletter
maintain consistency with office events such as Women in Mission, Saturday with Mary, Feast of Ugandan Martyrs, Summer Celebration of the Missionary Spirit, and Jazz in the Park
coordinate, design and execute mailing appeals to donors
conduct post-event evaluations to measure success and identify areas of improvement
