Job Requirements

  • Hs diploma, GED or equivalent
  • must be at least 18 years of age if position requires driving cargo handling equipment
  • must have a valid driver's license and Port Authority or Airport Authority permit to use ramp side service roads
  • ability to lift up to 70 lbs
  • ability to handle the stress of a fast-paced eight-hour shift

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • ability to learn PC skills and apply knowledge
  • ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently
  • ability to work rotating shifts including weekends, holidays, and days off
  • physical ability to lift up to 70 lbs
  • experience in cargo or freight handling preferred

Job Duties

  • Ability to drive all cargo handling equipment
  • retrieve import/deliver export documents to and from aircraft
  • reports to work on a regular and timely basis
  • prepare flight documents and enter data accurately
  • interface with U.S. Customs and complete import/export documentation
  • accept and distribute cargo according to air carrier and DOT regulations
  • comply with site security procedures and report security breaches
