Job Requirements

  • Ability to work early morning shifts
  • Ability and availability to work weekends
  • Previous 1-2 years customer service experience preferred
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States
  • Must pass pre-employment criminal background screening
  • Must pass pre-employment drug testing
  • Ability to work in outside weather conditions
  • Ability to lift up to 70 pounds
  • Must be able to push luggage cages both empty and full
  • Ability to stand for up to 8 hours
  • Ability to manage payments and perform simple addition
  • Must comply with company appearance guidelines
  • Must complete security training and obtain airport badges

Job Qualifications

  • At least 6 months experience in face-to-face guest service position preferred
  • Data entry and/or computer experience preferred
  • Ability to communicate clearly with guests and clients
  • Knowledge of the airline or travel industry preferred
  • Ability to complete airline compliance training
  • Familiarity with safety, security, and HAZMAT procedures through training

Job Duties

  • Greet guests warmly as they approach the desk
  • Assist guests with checking in luggage to appropriate airlines
  • Verify guest flight itineraries and number of bags
  • Input guest information for unenrolled passengers
  • Process check-in including charging credit cards for bags
  • Weigh bags and charge for overweight luggage
  • Tag luggage with destination labels
  • Provide boarding passes, luggage claim tickets, and receipts
  • Secure luggage and place bingo on cage sheets
  • Verify and seal luggage cages
  • Transport secured cages to ASIG truck
  • Maintain excellent verbal and written communication
  • Maintain a positive, friendly, and professional manner
  • Organize and stock the RAC desk
  • Uphold client guest service guidelines
  • Manage guest payments
  • Ensure removal of excess cages at shift end
  • Answer telephones and respond to guest questions
  • Perform simple addition for payments
