Job Requirements
- bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or construction management
- 5 to 8 years of experience in mission critical construction
- ability to perform physically demanding tasks including bending, kneeling, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds
- proficiency with BIM 360, Procore, Primavera P6 or MS Project
- strong understanding of electrical and mechanical equipment relevant to mission critical environments
- willingness to work extended hours and respond to after-hours communications
- adherence to safety policies and procedures
- ability to work in active construction sites with varied environmental conditions
Job Qualifications
- bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or construction management
- 5-8 years of experience in mission critical construction
- deep understanding of medium voltage and low voltage switchgear, UPS systems, static transfer switches, and backup generators
- proficiency in chilled water systems, cooling towers, CRAH/CRAC units, and data center infrastructure management integration
- proficiency in BIM 360, Procore and scheduling software such as Primavera P6 or MS Project
- strong technical vetting and vendor management skills
- excellent communication and relationship management abilities
Job Duties
- maintain the master equipment log
- monitor factory production dates and coordinate just-in-time delivery to avoid site congestion
- review submittals and shop drawings to ensure equipment matches onsite mechanical, electrical, and plumbing coordination drawings
- lead in-process inspections and conduct thorough damage assessments upon delivery
- act as the onsite point of contact for vendor technicians during installation and startup
- work with the project scheduler to integrate lead times and commissioning windows into the construction schedule
- identify gap items required for installation not provided by owner or subcontractor
- participate in virtual design and construction meetings to ensure equipment matches phased builds
- manage receipt of modularized units requiring precision rigging and specialized grounding
- utilize customer-specific asset management tools to track serial numbers
- drive coordination of pre-functional and functional performance testing phases
- oversee hand-off of capital spares to operations post-handover
