- knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and methods

- basic maintenance knowledge
- physical ability to perform housekeeping duties
Job Duties
- provide the highest quality of service to customers
- supervise up to 16 room care attendants
- promptly and effectively deal with guest complaints and requests
- inspect guest rooms and public areas daily to ensure cleanliness
- conduct ongoing training for housekeeping employees
- promote teamwork and employee morale
- assist in running pre-shift meetings and distribute assignments
- communicate housekeeping policies and procedures
- maintain cleanliness and organization of linen rooms, laundry, lost and found, storage rooms, employee break room, and carts
- ensure ready status of all rooms and maintain key control
- check and set heating/cooling equipment and television/radio settings
- inspect rooms for maintenance needs and report
- perform daily general cleaning and change linens as assigned
- log cleaned rooms on daily housekeeping report
- fold terry and linen while waiting for rooms
- operate laundry equipment and maintain public area cleanliness
- adhere to uniform and grooming standards
- know emergency procedures and practice safety standards
- move luggage, packages, or furniture up to 40 lbs
