Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in logistics, supply chain management, or related field
- minimum 3 years experience in import operations or freight forwarding
- proven leadership experience supervising a team
- strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- excellent communication abilities
- proficiency with logistics and freight management software
- knowledge of customs compliance and import documentation
- ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- legally authorized to work in the United States

Job Duties
- Coordinate and ensure timely bookings with steamship carriers on behalf of customers
- create and confirm transport orders to ensure pickup of shipments at origin
- prepare, control, and distribute all required import documents in compliance with regulations and internal procedures
- prepare all applicable documents required by the customer
- ensure timely completion of import documents and coordination with customers, warehouses, steamship carrier gateway operations, and dispatch for timely cargo movement
- provide customer service and follow up on shipment status in the import area
- identify incidents and ensure resolution to meet and exceed customer expectations
- responsible for file-level profitability
- audit charges for accuracy prior to sending to accounting for payment
- confirm payment responsibility and audit criteria status if needed
- ensure customer profiles are accurate and updated
- lead and mentor a team of import agents to enhance performance and professional development
- monitor team performance against key metrics and provide guidance to achieve operational goals
- perform other tasks as required
