Job Requirements
- 8 or more years of experience in ocean freight logistics industry
- Minimum 3 years management experience including P&L responsibility
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Customer-oriented mindset
- Ability to take full ownership of responsibilities
- Experience with CargoWise platform is preferred
- BS/BA degree preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum 8 years of experience in ocean freight logistics industry
- At least 3 years of management experience including P&L responsibility
- Strong knowledge of ocean freight import and export operations
- Proven leadership and team management skills
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills
- Familiarity with CargoWise platform is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Job Duties
- Develop and grow FCL/LCL import and export business in a dynamic market
- Build and develop a high-performing team focused on operational excellence and customer service
- Lead the ocean freight operations team across local and different geographical locations
- Design tailored ocean freight solutions and present them to customers
- Collaborate in a matrix organization with commercial, product, and finance teams
- Manage relationships with customers, carriers, vendors, and partners to ensure service standards
- Oversee P&L management, financial performance, and budget adherence
- Ensure continuous process improvements to increase operational efficiency
- Supervise employees within the area of responsibility
- Meet operational and financial KPIs and compliance with company regulations
- Participate as a member of the local senior management team
