Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in housekeeping or concierge services preferred
- Valid driver’s license and use of a reliable vehicle
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays and variable shifts
- Proficiency with computer systems and emailing
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to stand for entire shifts
- Ability to bend, stoop and reach
- Must work on site at Kiawah Island Golf Resort
Job Qualifications
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Computer fluency is required
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
- Ability to lift a maximum of 50 lbs
- Ability to follow directions and perform tasks with attention to detail, speed, accuracy and follow-through
- Ability to work without direct supervision
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Ability to set up and organize work areas with designated equipment
- Ability to report faulty equipment, maintenance needs and safety hazards
- Excellent communication skills
Job Duties
- Clean The Ocean Course Cottages, including making beds, cleaning bathrooms, dusting and vacuuming
- Change and replenish bed linens, towels and guest amenities as needed
- Perform deep cleaning tasks as needed
- Stock, maintain and transport housekeeping supply cart daily and maintain linen storage
- Deliver meals to cottages, including breakfast and other meals
- Place personalized amenities in cottages for arrivals
- Ensure all pre-ordered food, beverage and items are stocked for guests
- Take ownership of guest requests and ensure tasks are completed
- Remain alert, courteous and helpful to guests and co-workers
- Interact articulately and personably with high-end clientele
- Ensure all storage areas are clean and well maintained with cleaning equipment and supplies
- Maintain cleanliness procedures in The Ocean Course Clubhouse public spaces including restrooms, locker rooms, lobby, and function spaces
- Clean multiple common areas efficiently
- Maintain and replenish restrooms continuously
- Document daily maintenance requests for cottages and clubhouse
- Dispose of trash and recyclables
- Replenish cutlery and kitchen equipment as needed and maintain cottage inventory
- Utilize computers effectively for emails and internal systems communication
- Communicate with guests and departments to customize visits and coordinate services
- Perform all other assigned duties
