Job Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of export, import or foreign to foreign documentation, regulations, and processes
  • Ability to effectively communicate with vendors, clients, and other departments within the company
  • Exceptional problem solving abilities
  • Strong ability to prioritize workflow
  • Ability to successfully process a high volume of shipments per week
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Knowledge of Cargo Wise software preferred
  • Associates degree or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years experience with Customs House Broker (CHB), Freight Forwarder, or NVOCC required

Job Duties

  • Manage import, export, and foreign to foreign accounts necessary for branch operations
  • Coordinate all assigned accounts ensuring timely shipment processing
  • Follow up consistently with clients and agents regarding shipment status, processes, and documentation
  • Process invoices accurately into computerized accounting systems
  • Research vendor statements, handle phone calls, and resolve discrepancies
  • Ensure all shipment documents are accurate and compliant with industry, federal, and international regulations
  • Prepare detailed reports as requested and communicate account issues to co-workers, management, and clients for resolution
