Job Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in occupational therapy
- current occupational therapy license in the state of employment
- ability to work independently and adapt to varied home environments
- strong clinical, communication, and problem-solving skills
- valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in occupational therapy from an accredited institution
- current OT license in the state of employment and in good standing with the appropriate state board
- ability to work independently and adapt to varied home environments
- strong clinical, communication, and problem-solving skills
- valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation
- 1+ year of occupational therapy experience preferred
- experience in home health or community-based rehab preferred
- experience with geriatric, neurological, psychiatric, or cardiopulmonary therapy preferred
- experience in interdisciplinary team collaboration preferred
Job Duties
- Provide skilled occupational therapy to patients in their homes based on individualized treatment plans
- develop purposeful activities and interventions designed to improve physical, emotional, and cognitive function
- evaluate patient progress and revise plans of care as necessary to achieve maximum functional independence
- educate patients, families, and caregivers on adaptive techniques and equipment to support daily living and safety
- collaborate with physicians, nurses, physical therapists, and other interdisciplinary team members to ensure well-coordinated, high-quality care
- document all care, assessments, and interventions clearly and in a timely manner
- support patients as they work to regain the skills needed for dressing, grooming, cooking, bathing, and other essential daily activities
