Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in occupational therapy
  • current occupational therapy license in the state of employment
  • ability to work independently and adapt to varied home environments
  • strong clinical, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in occupational therapy from an accredited institution
  • current OT license in the state of employment and in good standing with the appropriate state board
  • ability to work independently and adapt to varied home environments
  • strong clinical, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation
  • 1+ year of occupational therapy experience preferred
  • experience in home health or community-based rehab preferred
  • experience with geriatric, neurological, psychiatric, or cardiopulmonary therapy preferred
  • experience in interdisciplinary team collaboration preferred

Job Duties

  • Provide skilled occupational therapy to patients in their homes based on individualized treatment plans
  • develop purposeful activities and interventions designed to improve physical, emotional, and cognitive function
  • evaluate patient progress and revise plans of care as necessary to achieve maximum functional independence
  • educate patients, families, and caregivers on adaptive techniques and equipment to support daily living and safety
  • collaborate with physicians, nurses, physical therapists, and other interdisciplinary team members to ensure well-coordinated, high-quality care
  • document all care, assessments, and interventions clearly and in a timely manner
  • support patients as they work to regain the skills needed for dressing, grooming, cooking, bathing, and other essential daily activities
