Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in safety or related field with degree conferred on or before start date
- Minimum three years’ experience in safety roles within construction, industrial, or educational environments
- Must have or obtain certification to train in first aid, CPR, and AED within six months
- Must have 24-hour HAZWOPER training
- Valid driver’s license required
- Ability to pass post-offer physical exam
- Capable of lifting over 30 pounds
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment
- Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks under varying conditions
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in safety or related field
- Three years’ experience as a safety professional in construction, industrial, or educational settings
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Certification to conduct training in first aid, CPR, and AED from American Red Cross or American Heart Association
- 24-hour HAZWOPER training
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to effectively communicate and write reports
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and risk management
- Ability to conduct safety training
- Ability to work with diverse backgrounds
- Proficiency in MS Office software
Job Duties
- Assist in managing oversight of all campus construction activities
- Review construction plans and assist in establishing site safety plans
- Conduct daily construction site visits
- Inspect personal protective equipment and machinery for compliance
- Investigate construction accidents to determine root causes
- Lead the development and execution of health and safety plans
- Review training documentation for regulatory compliance
