Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in safety or related field with degree conferred on or before start date
  • Minimum three years’ experience in safety roles within construction, industrial, or educational environments
  • Must have or obtain certification to train in first aid, CPR, and AED within six months
  • Must have 24-hour HAZWOPER training
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Ability to pass post-offer physical exam
  • Capable of lifting over 30 pounds
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment
  • Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks under varying conditions

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in safety or related field
  • Three years’ experience as a safety professional in construction, industrial, or educational settings
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Certification to conduct training in first aid, CPR, and AED from American Red Cross or American Heart Association
  • 24-hour HAZWOPER training
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to effectively communicate and write reports
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and risk management
  • Ability to conduct safety training
  • Ability to work with diverse backgrounds
  • Proficiency in MS Office software

Job Duties

  • Assist in managing oversight of all campus construction activities
  • Review construction plans and assist in establishing site safety plans
  • Conduct daily construction site visits
  • Inspect personal protective equipment and machinery for compliance
  • Investigate construction accidents to determine root causes
  • Lead the development and execution of health and safety plans
  • Review training documentation for regulatory compliance
