Job Requirements

  • Certification of completion of a Medical Assistant program
  • AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare) certification required
  • ability to participate in clinical and department meetings
  • strong communication and teamwork skills
  • ability to manage workflow and staff scheduling
  • knowledge of infection control policies and procedures
  • commitment to customer service excellence
  • adherence to Sharp HealthCare policies and procedures
  • ability to complete yearly competencies and trainings
  • compliance with appearance standards
  • maintain quality assurance documentation and assignments
  • ability to assist and guide clinical and administrative staff
  • efficient at managing patient flow and scheduling
  • knowledge of medication administration

Job Qualifications

  • Completion of a Medical Assistant program
  • AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professionals certification
  • one year of medical assistant experience in a related clinical area preferred
  • experience with CAOHC, UDS/BAT, and spirometry preferred
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) preferred
  • Hospital Corpsman (HM) US Navy experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Participates in clinical and department meetings
  • adjusts staff schedules and monitors workflow
  • provides coaching and feedback to clinical staff
  • assists front desk staff with scheduling and telephone management
  • manages patient flow and daily department operations
  • ensures regulatory compliance and quality assurance
  • maintains effective communication among staff, physicians, and patients
