Job Requirements
- Employment eligibility for the United States
- Valid Nevada Gaming License
- Ability to sit and observe digital video for extended periods
- Ability to verbally communicate in English
- Ability to operate video switcher, recording equipment and computers
- Ability to detect suspicious behavior
- Ability to write reports using professional terminology
- Excellent vision and hearing
- Ability to lift and carry 25 lbs or more
- Ability to access high areas such as ceilings and attics
- Knowledge of gaming rules, procedures, cheating methods and card counting schemes
- Minimum of one year surveillance system experience in maintenance, repair and installation of NVRs, video monitors, cameras, pan/tilt motors and system processors
- Proficiency in programming and troubleshooting
- Ability to climb ladders and operate lifts safely
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Willingness to work under potentially hot, cold and smoky conditions
Job Qualifications
- Associate degree in electronics engineering or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of two years casino experience in video surveillance of table games, slots, count rooms, cashiers and related areas
- Working knowledge of computer software programs and digital video recording equipment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to obtain or currently possess Enterprise Certify Installer Course, Video Blox training, Pro-Watch Certified Installer course, Fiber Optic Certified Technician, Network Certified Technician certifications
- Strong understanding of Nevada gaming regulations and departmental policies
- Effective communication and report writing skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional integrity
- Experience with preventative maintenance and repair of surveillance equipment
Job Duties
- Operate surveillance equipment to ensure accurate video documentation with regard to irregularities or deviations from normal activities in all areas of responsibility
- Remain current on all activities that threaten the security of TLC Casino Enterprises INC, Four Queens Hotel & Casino and Binion’s Gambling Hall & Hotel
- Monitor assigned areas on a continuous basis to ensure complete coverage
- Ensure at all times that the confidentiality rules are observed and enforced
- Successfully pass surveillance examinations that reflect current/actual job knowledge when administered by management
- Share the responsibility of answering telephone promptly, initiating video recording requests, performing observations, making assessments on observations, completing assigned tasks and projects
- Perform routine and systematic cleaning and preventative maintenance of NVR network, video monitors, video cameras, pan/tilt motors and gears, system processor and controls, peripheral equipment and digital recording equipment
- Perform repairs on equipment as needed and install equipment as directed
- Assist in ordering and stocking necessary cleaning supplies and parts
- Assist in planning, placement and installation of cameras and support equipment in new or reconfigured casino/security areas
- Respond to emergency service calls
- Maintain confidentiality of all corporate security and surveillance information
- Troubleshoot and modify large video switching systems within casino environment
- Support all environments pertaining to digital recording equipment and software
- Climb ladders and drive lifts in casino environment
- Walk or stand for extensive periods
- Perform other duties as assigned
