Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One year of experience as a dietary aide preferred
  • Able to read write and follow written and oral instructions including some calculations
  • Basic knowledge of food service sanitation and safety
  • Manual dexterity required to operate modern office and dietary equipment
  • Tolerate potential exposure to blood body tissues and fluids with occasional exposure to hazardous materials and infectious diseases
  • Ability to work with people with physical and mental disabilities including those using profanity derogatory language

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Responsible for the set-up of the dining room tables for meal times including silverware napkins plates salad bowls ice water and other beverages
  • Replenishing condiments salt pepper sugars cream etc
  • Serve resident meals
  • Assisting with the preparation of menu items as directed by the dietary supervisor or head chef
  • Dining room cleanup after meals including disposing of paper products and uneaten foods in a sanitary manner wiping down tables and condiment holders properly rinsing washing and sanitizing place settings silverware and cooking utensils
  • Vacuuming dining area
  • Mopping kitchen floor after meal preparation and as needed
  • Transports trash and waste to disposal area
  • Meet or exceed established performance goals
