Job Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Current regulatory clearances
  • Current pediatric CPR and First Aid certifications
  • Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license
  • Health appraisal
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand, bend, and stretch
  • Ability to work some evenings and weekends
  • Completion of food safety training within one month of employment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma
  • Experience with food preparation
  • Knowledge of federal and state nutrition regulations
  • Ability to manage inventory and budgeting
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Familiarity with CACFP guidelines
  • Basic computer skills for data management

Job Duties

  • Engages regularly in team meetings and contributes agenda items
  • Prepares and serves nutritious family-style meals and snacks
  • Maintains kitchen, dining, and pantry sanitation and safety
  • Manages inventory and food purchasing within budget
  • Prepares required paperwork and manages communications for the food program
  • Coordinates with staff and external partners to support nutrition program
  • Supports children and families by fostering healthy eating habits
