Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
previous experience in cooking or food preparation preferred
ability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds
able to stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods
able to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously
able to work around food and cleaning products
completion of an approved sanitation and safety course may be required
compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies
residency within the service area required
current ServSafe or Food Handler certification as required by State or County law

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
previous experience as a cook or in food preparation is preferred
ability to follow recipes and accommodate dietary restrictions
maintain a positive attitude and effectively communicate with residents, staff, and HCSG leadership
compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies
current ServSafe or Food Handler certification as required by State or County law

Job Duties

Prepare and cook delicious meals according to planned menus and recipes
ensure the food quality, taste, and presentation meet HCSG standards
adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines
maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies
engage positively with residents, staff, and guests, delivering excellent customer service
perform all other duties as assigned
