Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in cooking or food preparation preferred
- ability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds
- able to stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods
- able to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously
- able to work around food and cleaning products
- completion of an approved sanitation and safety course may be required
- compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies
- residency within the service area required
- current ServSafe or Food Handler certification as required by State or County law
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience as a cook or in food preparation is preferred
- ability to follow recipes and accommodate dietary restrictions
- maintain a positive attitude and effectively communicate with residents, staff, and HCSG leadership
- compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies
- current ServSafe or Food Handler certification as required by State or County law
Job Duties
- Prepare and cook delicious meals according to planned menus and recipes
- ensure the food quality, taste, and presentation meet HCSG standards
- adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines
- maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies
- engage positively with residents, staff, and guests, delivering excellent customer service
- perform all other duties as assigned
