Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- valid Food Safety Manager certificate approved by ANSI
- valid California Class C driver’s license
- use of a personal automobile
- ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds
- standing for extended periods
- ability to maintain certification throughout employment
- ability to work in kitchen environment with exposure to heat and cleaning chemicals
Job Qualifications
- Valid Food Safety Manager certificate approved by ANSI
- experience in food preparation and kitchen supervision
- ability to train and evaluate staff effectively
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
- proficiency with computerized point of sale systems
- ability to manage inventory and order supplies
- strong communication and organizational skills
Job Duties
- Plan, organize and participate in the preparation and serving of hot and cold menu items
- maintain kitchen and serving areas in a safe, clean and orderly condition
- order, receive and store food and supplies
- train and evaluate the performance of assigned staff
- assure compliance with sanitation and safety procedures and regulations
- operate computerized point of sale system and perform cashiering duties
- communicate with administrators, personnel, parents and vendors to coordinate activities and resolve issues
