Job Requirements

  • H. S. diploma or GED preferred
  • one to three months food service experience preferred
  • ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • ability to follow oral and written instructions
  • physical ability to lift and carry food carts and kitchen equipment
  • willingness to work part time evenings
  • compliance with facility dress code and infection control standards
  • valid identification badge while on duty

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • one to three months food service experience preferred
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • ability to follow established schedules and procedures
  • effective communication and teamwork skills
  • ability to comply with infection control and facility standards
  • ability to handle multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties

  • Perform a variety of routine duties related to the preparation, service and transport of food
  • ensure that required sanitary levels are maintained throughout the food preparation process
  • perform cleaning and sanitizing duties to department equipment
  • set up and serve residents according to established schedule and procedures
  • review production sheets and prepare and portion food items
  • complete post-meal cleanup tasks including dishwashing and cleaning of equipment
  • procure adequate food and supplies and return unused items properly labeled and stored
  • load and transport food carts on schedule
  • perform assorted food service and preparation duties
  • attend all inservices and meetings as required
