Job Requirements
- H. S. diploma or GED preferred
- one to three months food service experience preferred
- ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- ability to follow oral and written instructions
- physical ability to lift and carry food carts and kitchen equipment
- willingness to work part time evenings
- compliance with facility dress code and infection control standards
- valid identification badge while on duty
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- one to three months food service experience preferred
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- ability to follow established schedules and procedures
- effective communication and teamwork skills
- ability to comply with infection control and facility standards
- ability to handle multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment
Job Duties
- Perform a variety of routine duties related to the preparation, service and transport of food
- ensure that required sanitary levels are maintained throughout the food preparation process
- perform cleaning and sanitizing duties to department equipment
- set up and serve residents according to established schedule and procedures
- review production sheets and prepare and portion food items
- complete post-meal cleanup tasks including dishwashing and cleaning of equipment
- procure adequate food and supplies and return unused items properly labeled and stored
- load and transport food carts on schedule
- perform assorted food service and preparation duties
- attend all inservices and meetings as required
