Job Requirements
- graduation from high school or equivalent
- at least one year of experience working as a nutrition services assistant in a school nutrition program or the food service industry
- valid California Food Handler Card or certificate
- physical examination if offered position
- valid California driver’s license may be required depending on assignment
- ability to maintain insurability under district’s vehicle insurance program if driving is required
Job Qualifications
- graduation from high school or equivalent
- at least one year of experience working as a nutrition services assistant in a school nutrition program or the food service industry
- valid California Food Handler Card or certificate
- ability to work cooperatively with staff and follow district policies
- strong organizational and leadership skills
Job Duties
- lead and oversee the preparation and service of food in a satellite food service kitchen or cafeteria
- receive prepared food and ingredient deliveries and ensure proper storage
- clean kitchen equipment, utensils and work area
- ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
- maintain accurate records related to food service operations
- assist with training and supervising nutrition services staff
- perform related duties as assigned
