Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university in relevant field
- Three to five years of progressively responsible food service operations experience including at least two years in supervisory capacity
- Valid driver’s license with less than 8 points and current insurance
- ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification or ability to obtain within 90 days
- Current CPR and First Aid certification or ability to obtain within 90 days
- Demonstrated experience in commercial kitchen operations and meal preparation
- Ability to meet physical demands including lifting up to 50 pounds
- Willingness to work in both kitchen and office environments
- Commitment to maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in nutrition, dietetics, food service management, culinary arts, hospitality management, gerontology, public health, or related field
- Three to five years of progressively responsible experience in food service operations including two years supervisory experience
- Proficient in commercial kitchen operations and meal preparation
- Valid driver’s license with current insurance
- ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification or ability to obtain within 90 days
- Certified Dietary Manager, Certified Food Protection Professional credential preferred
- Current CPR and First Aid certification or ability to obtain within 90 days
- Knowledge of Title III-C Older Americans Act requirements and Area Agency on Aging contract administration
- Skilled in commercial food preparation and large-scale meal production
- Experienced in supervision, training, and staff development
- Competent in food safety regulations and compliance
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Job Duties
- Supervises and manages kitchen operations and food production for congregate and home-delivered meal programs
- Ensures compliance with Title III-C Older Americans Act and Area Agency on Aging contract standards
- Recruits, trains, supervises, and maintains records of nutrition program staff and volunteers
- Develops menus and prepares special meals for programs beyond contract scope
- Oversees food safety compliance including temperature monitoring and sanitation standards
- Manages fund donations and budget tracking
- Prepares and submits reports for federal, state, and local funders
- Coordinates meal reservation processes and volunteer schedules
- Provides nutrition education and food safety training to staff and volunteers
- Liaises with community partners and agencies
- Troubleshoots operational and administrative issues
- Maintains professional knowledge through training and seminars
- Handles public and agency inquiries
- Performs other related duties as assigned
