Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in food service or child care preferred
- Knowledge of Ohio State Health and OSHA regulations
- Ability to read and understand written and oral instructions
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to supervise staff and food service operations
- Physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds and interact physically with children
- Willingness and ability to ensure child safety and assess situations
- Availability to work Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of Ohio State Health food service operations regulations
- Knowledge of OSHA and Child Care Center licensing requirements
- Experience collaborating with children and adults in a care or food service environment
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Proven organizational and supervisory skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Familiarity with federal Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) regulations
Job Duties
- Preparing all menus for breakfast, snack and lunch on a weekly basis in accordance with state child care center licensing regulations and the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP)
- Organizing and preparing a budget of $40,000-$90,000 for purchasing all food, paper products, and classroom food supplies
- Maintaining a current kitchen inventory
- Preparing and serving breakfast, lunch and snack daily for up to 200 children depending on center size
- Washing dishes and cleaning up carts after each meal served
- Planning and preparing food items for parent programs and special events
- Maintaining kitchen and food service area in sanitary condition at all times in accordance with Ohio State Food Service Operations regulations
- Ensuring successful passing of all inspections conducted by the Health Department
- Maintaining all kitchen equipment in proper sanitary and functioning condition and notifying Director of necessary maintenance and/or replacements
- Supervising and directing kitchen support staff activities, if applicable
- Covering in a classroom or front office as directed
- Performing other duties as assigned
