Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Basic math skills required
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods
- Must be able to lift 35 pounds and push 350 pounds on carts
- Trainable on hospital information systems
- Ability to work Monday-Friday with rotating weekends
- Must be dependable and detail oriented

Job Duties
- Transports and serves meals to patients on nursing units
- Assembles patient trays according to physician diet orders and patient selections
- Answers telephone calls in the diet office and enters patient meal selections into software
- Washes pots and dishes in the dishroom using dish machines
- Delivers supplies to nursing units and other departments
- Cleans and sanitizes dishroom ensuring safety standards
- May serve as host explaining meal services to patients
