Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Food Handler Permit or ServSafe certification required by first day of work
- availability to cover rotating holiday and weekend shifts
- ability to stand for long periods
- capacity to lift, transport, and push equipment of various weights
- ability to work flexible shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- manual dexterity to handle food preparation and equipment cleaning tasks
- ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members
Job Qualifications
- Food Handler Permit or ServSafe certification is required by first day of work
- one year of experience in customer service, food and beverage service or patient service preferred
- demonstrated ability to work with modified diets preferred
- demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service preferred
Job Duties
- Collects cookware and dishes from within department as necessary
- cleans and sanitizes cookware, dishes, patient trays, and distributes them appropriately
- delivers and presents trays to patients using the standard process
- performs food and beverage preparation functions according to system standards including preparing salads, sandwiches, vegetables, and fruit
- follows standardized practices relating to Nutrition Services including dining experience, meal delivery, and maintaining required stock levels
- performs housekeeping functions including cleaning and sanitizing surfaces, floor care, and equipment such as ovens, fryers, and hoods
- performs accurate cash and credit transactions according to system standards and independently resolves basic customer service issues
