Job Requirements

  • Two years of food service experience or one year hospital nutrition experience
  • Food Handlers Permit within 30 days of hire
  • Ability to work early morning and late evening shifts
  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Commitment to healthcare food safety and regulatory compliance

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Two years of food service experience or one year hospital nutrition experience
  • Knowledge of therapeutic diets and nutrition service procedures
  • Ability to train and supervise staff effectively
  • Strong communication and customer service skills

Job Duties

  • Lead daily operations of nutrition assistants to ensure efficient and compliant food service delivery
  • Monitor and maintain food temperatures during cooking, holding, and storage
  • Ensure adherence to hygiene, food labeling, and storage standards
  • Oversee menu and diet accuracy, proper meal portioning, and presentation
  • Train new and existing employees on policies, therapeutic diets, and procedures
  • Provide direction to staff not adhering to policies and support leadership in performance reviews
  • Maintain knowledge of recipe ingredients and food allergies to address dietary concerns
