Job Requirements

  • Two years of food service experience or one year hospital nutrition experience
  • Food Handlers Permit within 30 days of hire
  • Ability to work early morning and late evening shifts
  • Availability for PRN (per diem) scheduling
  • Ability to train and assist team members
  • Commitment to following healthcare food service regulations and guidelines

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Two years of food service experience or one year of hospital nutrition experience
  • Knowledge of food safety and preparation standards
  • Ability to train and lead a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work early morning and late evening shifts
  • Experience in healthcare food service preferred

Job Duties

  • Lead daily operations of Nutrition Assistants
  • Oversee food preparation and service to meet menu and dietary requirements
  • Train new and existing employees on departmental policies and procedures
  • Monitor food temperatures during cooking, holding, and storage
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare food service standards and regulations
  • Collaborate with facility staff to optimize nutritional care
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients, families, visitors, and staff
