Job Requirements
- one year experience preferred in acute hospital or long term care setting within last two years
- pass orientation and initial competency assessment
- complete and pass all annual competencies
- American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification required
- detail oriented and organized
- ability to work in busy demanding environment
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent work experience in related field preferred
- certified nursing assistant course or relevant work experience required
- knowledge of medical terminology
- strong computer skills
- ability to multi-task
- exceptional phone etiquette and communication skills
- critical thinking skills
- cardiac monitoring skills preferred
Job Duties
- take vital signs
- assist with activities of daily living and comfort measures for assigned patients
- perform clerical and receptionist duties related to the department
- monitor cardiac rhythms, rates, and alarms on all patients
- communicate findings to nursing and medical staff
- demonstrate positive attitude and customer service excellence
- perform duties according to CHOMP policies and under RN supervision
