Job Requirements
- At least one year of experience in an acute hospital or long term care setting within the last two years preferred
- American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification required
- must be detail oriented and organized
- ability to work varied per diem shifts including evening and night hours
- capable of working in a demanding and fast-paced environment
- strong critical thinking and multitasking abilities
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent work experience in a related field preferred
- completion of Certified Nursing Assistant course or equivalent relevant experience
- knowledge of medical terminology
- strong computer skills
- excellent communication and phone etiquette
- ability to multi-task in a busy work environment
- critical thinking skills
Job Duties
- Take vital signs for patients
- assist with activities of daily living and comfort measures
- perform clerical and receptionist duties for the assigned department
- demonstrate a positive attitude and efficient use of resources
- maintain communication and customer service standards
- work under the direct supervision of a registered nurse
- comply with policies and procedures of the hospital and department
