Job Requirements
- Three years experience in critical care, trauma, or emergency department nursing
- Willingness to obtain required certifications within designated timeframes
- Ability to effectively communicate and work professionally within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Competency in computer technologies relevant to patient care delivery
- Authorized to practice nursing in Florida
- Completion of Air Crew Core Curriculum Certificate within six months
- Compliance with educational requirements for new hires as specified
- Demonstrated skills in teamwork and communication
- Ability to serve all age groups of patients
Job Qualifications
- Associate degree in nursing
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Licensed to practice nursing in the State of Florida
- Florida Paramedic License
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- ACLS certification from the American Heart Association
- PALS certification from the American Heart Association
- Advanced Trauma Care Nurse (ATCN) certification or Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) within six months of hire
- Air Crew Core Curriculum Certificate of Completion within six months of hire
- One of the following professional certifications within six months of hire: CEN, CCRN, CFRN, or TCRN
Job Duties
- Respond to assigned calls promptly and efficiently
- Provide high standards of patient care during transport
- Ensure a safe and hazard-free environment
- Conduct thorough patient assessment, treatment, and packaging for transport
- Collaborate with health-care providers, first response agencies, and hospital personnel
- Participate in outreach educational initiatives for EMS and trauma service agencies
- Contribute to performance improvement activities within the trauma service area
