Job Requirements

  • associate's degree
  • graduate of accredited school of nursing
  • licensed to practice nursing in the state of Florida
  • Florida paramedic license
  • three years critical care, trauma, or emergency department experience
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
  • ATCN or TNCC certification within six months of hire
  • Air Crew Core Curriculum Certificate within six months of hire
  • possession of one professional certification (CEN, CCRN, CFRN, CTRN, or TCRN) at time of hire or within six months
  • demonstrated teamwork and communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • associate's degree
  • graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • must have or obtain BSN degree within three years if hired after June 14, 2017
  • licensed to practice nursing in the state of Florida
  • Florida Paramedic License
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association
  • ACLS certification from the American Heart Association
  • PALS certification from the American Heart Association
  • ATCN or TNCC certification within six months of hire
  • Air Crew Core Curriculum Certificate within six months of hire
  • possess one professional certification such as CEN, CCRN, CFRN, CTRN, or TCRN
  • preferred national registry paramedic certification
  • preferred TPATC certification
  • preferred CCRN or CEN
  • preferred PHTLS certification
  • preferred emergency pediatric care certification
  • three years critical care, trauma, or emergency department experience
  • effective teamwork and professional communication skills
  • ability to learn and apply computer technologies related to patient care

Job Duties

  • respond to assigned calls efficiently and appropriately
  • provide high standards of patient care focusing on assessment, treatment, packaging, and transport
  • ensure a safe and hazard-free environment during patient care and transport
  • communicate professionally and collaborate with internal facility teams and external agencies including EMS and hospital personnel
  • participate in outreach educational initiatives to EMS and trauma service area agencies
  • contribute to performance improvement and resource education efforts
  • utilize computer technologies and procedures that affect patient care delivery
