- successful completion of fundamentals nursing course
- current BLS/Healthcare provider certification

Job Qualifications
- Nursing student currently enrolled in a nursing program at a college or university
- successful completion of fundamentals nursing course
- proof of continued enrollment in a pre-licensure professional nursing program with no break exceeding one year
- maintains current BLS/Healthcare provider certification
- effective communication skills
- ability to work collaboratively in a healthcare team
- knowledge of infection control practices
- commitment to patient safety and confidentiality
Job Duties
- Provides routine treatments and interventions consistent with academic and competency standards
- performs advanced skills such as nasogastric tube irrigation, suctioning, wound irrigation, and complex dressing changes
- provides continuous observation for behavioral health and suicide risk patients
- assists with patient hygiene, mobility, and nutrition
- maintains patient safety and security
- utilizes safety checklists during staff changes and patient transfers
- assures patient privacy and confidentiality
- adheres to hand hygiene and PPE procedures
- communicates patient condition updates to registered nurses and healthcare team
- participates in handoff reports and hourly rounding
- documents patient information according to hospital policies
- transports patients during admission, discharge, and diagnostic procedures
- maintains a clean and safe environment
- delivers items and equipment throughout the facility
- receives and processes calls and guest requests
- complies with attendance policies and healthcare regulations
- completes mandatory training and nursing performance improvement activities
- demonstrates knowledge of legal issues and patient rights
- assesses patient data and age-specific needs
- uses time and resources effectively
- performs additional duties as assigned
