Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalency
- Willingness to work with residents living with trauma and mental health challenges
- Compassion and respect for vulnerable individuals
- Ability to engage and communicate effectively
- Must be able to work physically engaging activities with residents
- Ability to complete significant data entry
- Available to participate in weekly meetings and staff trainings
- Driver's license preferred but not required in all programs
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalency
- Experience working with individuals with mental health challenges preferred
- Compassion and patience for vulnerable populations
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to engage effectively with youth
- Attention to detail in documentation
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic record keeping
- Aptitude for learning new software and systems
Job Duties
- Responsible for day by day care of clients including supervision of personal hygiene, social guidance, use of leisure time and food planning and preparation
- Develop, supervise and run activity sessions
- Accompany clients on trips and outings and supervise activities
- Work one on one with a client displaying significant stress or assist with management issues
- Accompany clients to medical, social or other necessary appointments
- Share observations with the treatment team and report unusual issues to supervisor
- Prepare meals for residents within their division
- Participate in weekly team meetings and regular staff trainings
- Complete timely documentation of resident interactions and progress
- Coordinate and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team
- Complete incident reports as appropriate
