Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in restaurant cleaning or kitchen work is an advantage
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions
- Good communication skills
- Commitment to adhering to health and safety regulations
Job Qualifications
- Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers
- Ability to print and speak simple sentences
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions
- Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables
Job Duties
- Scrapes food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or places them in racks or on conveyor to dishwashing machine
- Maintains the cleanliness of the restaurant including cleaning inside and outside of restaurant, sweeping the restaurant, cleaning windows, cleaning filters, clearing and wiping down tables
- Places, changes and transports the trash to dumpsters
- Sets up patio furniture including setting up tables and opening umbrellas
- Brings in patio furniture at the end of the day
- Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas
- Sets up tables for guests
- Restocks any or all condiments/cutlery
- Extracts dirty water as per company policies
- Checks tables and wipes down chairs
- Checks with manager as to who is cleaning the restrooms on a daily basis
- Maintains food storage under company policy
