Job Requirements

  • Ability to respond to on-call business needs within 30 minutes
  • Availability to work overnight shifts
  • Capability to live onsite and reside in provided lodging
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as setting up breakfast
  • Proficient in handling emergency situations and guest service issues
  • Possess valid identification and legal work authorization
  • Ability to use hotel computer systems for logging and reporting
  • Maintain integrity and confidentiality regarding key control

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Prior experience in hotel guest service or hospitality preferred
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to respond quickly and calmly to emergency and guest service situations
  • Basic bookkeeping and computer skills
  • Familiarity with hotel policies and safety procedures
  • Ability to work independently during overnight hours
  • Flexibility to cover multiple locations if required

Job Duties

  • Work in a GSR capacity and setup and maintain breakfast from 5:30 AM to 7:00 AM daily
  • Attend to guests upon call notification for check-ins, emergency maintenance, noise complaints, and safety situations
  • Maintain control of all hotel keys, safeguarding from mishandling or theft
  • Log keys in and out when necessary
  • Organize and conduct limited guest check-ins and check-outs, including greeting and registering guests, assigning rooms, issuing keys, and collecting payments
  • Keep abreast of hotel policies, training, and safety procedures
  • Provide guests with directions and information about amenities, services, operations, and local areas of interest
  • Perform bookkeeping activities including logging events, running reports, and posting payments to guest folios
  • Maintain proficiency in location computer and software systems
  • Respond to emergency situations, communicate with first responders as necessary, address key activation issues, and respond to noise complaints
  • Cover other hotels in the area during critical staffing needs when necessary
  • Perform other duties as assigned by manager
