Job Duties
- Take food and beverage orders and efficiently deliver items to dining room guests
- promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- follow established steps of service when taking food and beverages
- deliver food promptly and professionally maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
- advise guests on appropriate combinations of food and drinks when requested
- communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure correct delivery and accommodation of special requests
- remain flexible and patient in communications with guests and staff
- collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
- maintain sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information
- promptly address complaints or issues and relay relevant information to supervisors
- ensure dining room is properly set up before and after service
- keep the area clean and neat meeting established sanitation standards
- operate a variety of equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells and coffee machines
- collaborate with staff from other departments during special events and functions
