Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or GED
  • 2 years of non-destructive test experience for level 2 or 4 years for level 3
  • ability to work any shift, overtime or non-standard work schedule
  • willing to be subject to areas causing phobias due to height or close spaces
  • active DoD Secret Clearance
  • ability to obtain Special Program Access within a reasonable time
  • authorization to participate in DoD SkillBridge program (for military internship)

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or GED
  • certification in non-destructive testing
  • 2 years of non-destructive test experience for level 2
  • 4 years of non-destructive test experience for level 3
  • ability to work any shift, overtime or non-standard work schedule
  • active DoD Secret Clearance
  • ability to obtain Special Program Access
  • preferred certification in multiple NDI disciplines
  • preferred 2 year degree or certification from NDI training institution
  • preferred experience with mobile automated ultrasonic systems

Job Duties

  • perform non-destructive tests on aircraft engines or components
  • inspect metallic and nonmetallic materials, parts, and assemblies for defects using automated and manual methods including radiography, ultrasonic, penetrant, eddy current, shearography, thermography, and magnetic particle
  • maintain and calibrate testing equipment
  • document and report test results
  • adhere to safety and quality standards
  • collaborate with quality and engineering teams
  • participate in continuous improvement initiatives
