Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 21 years of age
  • At least 6 months of verifiable experience operating CMV on public roads within past 3 years
  • Valid driver’s license free of restrictions or limitations as required by state of residence
  • License transfer completed within 30 days if not issued by state of residence
  • Self-starter with excellent organizational skills
  • Keen interest in continuous improvement

  • Ability to travel up to 5 percent for operator visits and conferences

Job Duties

  • Make safe, timely deliveries
  • Operate commercial vehicle in accordance with DOT and all local, state, federal regulations
  • Unload and put away product at restaurants
  • Assist in unloading truck and putting away equipment at the distribution center
  • Collaborate with team leaders to assess unload time, delivery issues, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Build relationships with restaurant operators to learn best practices
  • Keep vehicle clean and report maintenance issues
  • Comply with all regulatory and company policies including hours of service limits and pre- and post-trip equipment inspections
  • Attend scheduled safety and job training sessions
  • Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
  • Report defects, accidents, or violations as necessary
  • Complete routes within established delivery windows
  • Complete pickups and returns from restaurants, submit paperwork
  • Frequently lift up to 65 pounds and move pallets with mechanical assistance
  • Perform work in all weather conditions and various temperature environments
  • Maintain current driver’s license and medical card
  • Manage time off to ensure proper rest and DOT compliance
  • Maintain flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and overtime
  • Prepare for shift rotations and attend shifts in proper attire and safety gear
  • Act as navigator/helper for CDL-A drivers when required
  • Adapt to change and respond professionally to challenges
  • Manage pressure and prioritize tasks
  • Perform other assigned duties
