This position is for a Delivery Driver role at a logistics and transportation company specializing in package and product delivery services. The company operates with a strong focus on efficient and reliable delivery within a cross dock model, ensuring products are transported from one location to another swiftly and safely. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- valid driver’s license
- clean driving record
- ability to lift and move heavy packages
- ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- ability to follow safety regulations including DOT guidelines
- availability to work full-time hours including early mornings or late shifts
- physical stamina to perform repetitive lifting and bending tasks
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- experience in delivery driving or logistics preferred
- knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations
- ability to operate hand trucks and handle manual loading and unloading
- good communication and customer service skills
- physical ability to lift and move heavy products
- basic vehicle maintenance and safety inspection knowledge
Job Duties
- Runs routes efficiently meeting or exceeding designated route times
- unload product from trailer by hand or using hand cart and place in designated customer storage areas including transporting product on ramps stairs or docks in all weather conditions
- frequently lift push or move product that weighs 1-75 pounds up to 100 pounds
- frequently reach up to 72 inches to stack and unstack pallets and hand cart
- constantly bend and twist while loading and unloading product and retrieving items from trailer
- verify delivery of items with customer and obtain proper signatures
- contact management for authorization when discrepancies on invoice and communicate all errors returns
- handle any customer complaints professionally
- handle company equipment properly follow written driver safety rules and perform pre-trip inspection
- perform pre-trip and post-trip responsibilities in accordance with Department of Transportation regulations and company policies and procedures
