Job Requirements

  • Must hold either a driver’s license or chauffeur’s license depending on state and vehicle weight
  • must pass background and drug testing as required by federal and/or state DOT regulations
  • must pass DOT physical as trucks driven are over 10,000 pounds
  • must be at least 21 years old
  • ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds
  • able to travel frequently
  • prolonged periods sitting in a trailer cab
  • CDL drivers may need to be clean shaven to meet customer requirements
  • must pass a 10-panel drug screen

  • ability to speak professionally and courteously with customers and staff
  • ability to remain focused in a busy environment
  • must hold a valid driver’s license or chauffeur’s license appropriate for the vehicle weight
  • must pass background and drug testing per transportation regulations
  • must pass DOT physical
  • must be at least 21 years old

Job Duties

  • Operate vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws
  • transport loads safely and timely over required routes, obeying traffic laws and safety regulations
  • maneuver truck and trailer into loading and unloading areas, following loading crew signals
  • assist with loading and unloading goods and materials using specialized equipment when warranted
  • maintain signed invoices and shipping bills of lading, deliver documentation to appropriate staff
  • perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and report malfunctions
  • arrange trailers in shipping yards for optimum loading patterns
  • perform other related duties as assigned
