Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in public policy urban studies arts cultural management business or related field or equivalent experience
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in nightlife hospitality event management urban policy or related industries
  • Have an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong understanding of nightlife operations liquor licensing and community relations
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders including businesses residents and government agencies
  • Excellent problem-solving negotiation and communication skills
  • Commitment to equity inclusion and safety in nightlife and cultural programming
  • Completion of a criminal background check and fingerprint screening
  • Completion of a mandatory probation period
  • Completion of financial disclosure pursuant to City Ethics Law

  • Strong understanding of nightlife operations liquor licensing and community relations

  • Commitment to equity inclusion and safety in nightlife and cultural programming

Job Duties

  • Serve as the central point of contact for nightlife stakeholders including bars clubs restaurants live music venues artists and residents
  • Build relationships with neighborhood associations business owners and cultural organizations to foster collaboration and resolve conflicts
  • Convene regular forums roundtables or advisory groups to give stakeholders a voice in nightlife policy decisions
  • Collaborate with the Baltimore City Liquor Board BPD and other agencies to streamline permitting licensing and compliance processes for nightlife establishments
  • Develop policies and best practices that balance economic growth with safety noise management and neighborhood quality of life
  • Work with BPD DOT DPW and OEM to coordinate traffic management sanitation security and late-night public safety efforts around nightlife districts
  • Assist with the development of operational plans for large-scale nightlife events or seasonal activations
