Job Requirements

  • Ability to implement individual support plans under AWARE's Unconditional Care Philosophy
  • knowledge of behavioral techniques, interventions, and skill building techniques
  • understanding of the emotional and behavioral needs of individuals diagnosed with developmental disabilities
  • computer literacy including the ability to navigate and record in software systems
  • interpersonal oral and written communication skills
  • high school diploma or HSE
  • past employment experience
  • valid Montana Driver's License or willingness to obtain
  • acceptable driving record
  • acceptable criminal and protective services background check

  • interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • ability to work as a team member, follow oral and written instructions, and report observations accurately

Job Duties

  • Responsible for the protection, care, and supervision of residents
  • conduct a variety of functions to maintain a safe and comfortable environment for residents, including maintenance and cleaning, observation and record keeping, transportation (activities, work), and/or performing basic emergency or H.E.L.P. procedures as necessary
  • stay awake through the night and demonstrate the ability to handle all emergency situations by following the proper procedures
