Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or General Education Degree
  • Minimum of 1-year experience in housekeeping or maintenance
  • Ability to communicate in English
  • CPR certification
  • Physical ability to sit, stand, stoop, bend, reach and crouch for up to 8 hours daily
  • Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 40 lbs
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including overnight shifts
  • Comfortable working in a shared space with constant noise
  • Able to manage frequent changing priorities and deadlines with professionalism and optimism

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or General Education Degree
  • Minimum of 1-year experience in housekeeping or maintenance
  • Ability to communicate in the English language
  • Certified in CPR
  • Ability to perform all tasks related to overnight utility
  • Proficiency in using job-related software
  • Ability to remain calm in various situations and use sound judgment
  • Possess guest service demeanor and outgoing personality
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedural manuals
  • Ability to follow instructions, prioritize and multitask

Job Duties

  • Greet and interact with internal and external guests in a genuinely warm and friendly manner using professional and Kessler standard nomenclature
  • Maintain the integrity of the guests' privacy, including confidentiality of personal information and key control
  • Routinely walk the interior and exterior of the building and accurately complete a daily checklist
  • Direct and coordinate emergency response efforts as required
  • Respond promptly to questions, concerns, and requests while ensuring guest satisfaction
  • Use software program to communicate any deficiencies in the hotel
  • Log guest requests and concerns according to the standard operating procedure and provide timely communication with departments
  • Assist with arrivals and departures, including bell and valet service
  • Perform housekeeping tasks such as cleaning public restrooms, dusting, vacuuming, mopping public areas, and maintaining cleanliness of furniture, fixtures, artwork, and flooring
  • Empty trash containers and pick up debris
  • Perform maintenance tasks including staining woodwork, painting, buffing floors, and plumbing
  • Operate the telephone system, answering calls promptly with correct etiquette
  • Maintain knowledge in using office equipment, property management systems, and access controls
  • Work proficiently to meet daily requirements
  • Solve problems effectively
  • Secure lost items according to standard procedures
  • Maintain a neat and organized work area
  • Protect company proprietary information and assets
  • Maintain clean and professional appearance according to standards
  • Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures, reporting accidents and unsafe conditions
  • Welcome and acknowledge guests with disabilities
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships supporting the team
  • Attend required training and meetings
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
