Job Requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing
- Ability to perform regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations
- Capability to stand and walk up to 12 hours per day
- Ability to perform regular bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching
- Ability to regularly lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights up to 75 lbs
- Willingness to follow all safety guidelines and report hazards
- Ability to work in environments with moving mechanical parts, vehicles, and exposure to dust, fumes, and gases
- Flexibility to undertake additional duties and support other departments as necessary
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in a distribution environment preferred but not required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to quickly adapt as business needs change
- Ability to address difficult situations with diplomacy and emotional intelligence
- Customer service-oriented attitude with a demonstrated desire to exceed expectations
Job Duties
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors to ensure cleanliness throughout the warehouse
- Clean restrooms, break rooms, and office areas regularly
- Wipe down surfaces and equipment to maintain a dust-free environment
- Collect and dispose of trash and recyclables according to local protocols and expectations
- Maintain waste bins and recycling receptacles, ensuring timely removal and replacement
- Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
- Report any safety hazards, damaged equipment, or maintenance requests to leadership
- Monitor and replenish inventory levels of cleaning supplies
- Organize and store cleaning equipment and materials in designated areas
- Assist with setup and cleanup for warehouse events or meetings
- Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks as needed
- Meet all expected performance standards regarding efficiency, accuracy and quality of work
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following all safety guidelines and reporting any hazards to the appropriate leadership
- Work closely with team members and leadership to meet daily, weekly, and monthly departmental goals
- Abide by all company and warehouse policies
- Flex into other positions and departments and undertake additional duties as necessary to support the overall operation
