Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in hospitality or customer service preferred
  • Ability to respond within 30 minutes to on-call requests during overnight hours
  • Proficient in English reading and speaking
  • Ability to operate computer systems including Microsoft Office and hotel PMS
  • Ability to live onsite and stay overnight in provided guest room
  • Flexible to cover other hotel locations when required
  • Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in hotel front desk or guest services preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and hotel Property Management System (PMS)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedure manuals
  • Strong problem-solving and time management skills
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Friendly, cooperative manner and patience in dealing with guests and staff
  • Ability to operate hotel mobile phone
  • Self-starter with ability to prioritize and handle issues under pressure
  • Ability to perform basic math operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
  • Ability to document events and prepare routine correspondence

Job Duties

  • Attend to guests upon call notification for check-ins, emergency maintenance issues, guest noise complaints, and safety and security situations
  • Maintain control of all hotel keys, including safeguarding from mishandling or theft
  • Log keys in and out when necessary
  • Organize, confirm, process, and conduct limited guest check-ins and check-outs, including greeting and registering guests, assigning rooms, issuing room keys, and collecting payments
  • Keep abreast of hotel policies, training, and safety procedures
  • Ensure all safety, guest and security concerns are reported per company policy
  • Supply guests with directions and information regarding property amenities, services, hours of operation, and local areas of interest when necessary
  • Perform bookkeeping activities such as logging events, running reports and posting payments to guest folios when necessary
  • Maintain proficiency in all location computer and software systems
  • Respond to emergency situations, communicate with first responders as necessary, address key activation issues, and respond to noise complaints
  • Cover another hotel in the area as needed
  • Perform other job duties as assigned by management
