Job Qualifications
- No high school diploma or equivalent required
- no related work experience required
- no supervisory experience required
- must be able to respond quickly to work situations
- ability to inspect visually cleaning tools, equipment or machines to identify defects
- good hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills to handle various object sizes and weights
- ability to reach above head and below knees, crouch, turn waist, drag and bend
- ability to move through narrow, confined or elevated spaces
- ability to navigate inclined, uneven or slippery surfaces and stairways
- ability to push and pull maintenance carts and equipment
- standing, sitting, kneeling or walking for extended or frequent periods during full shift
Job Duties
- Clean showers and restrooms in public and employee areas
- clean glass surfaces in public and employee areas
- clean floor surfaces in public and employee spaces using designated chemical products, supplies and equipment
- dust surfaces in assigned areas
- empty trash containers, ashtrays and urns in public areas into proper receptacles
- inspect furniture condition and report any damages
- clean and maintain lighting fixtures
- place caution signs to reduce traffic when necessary
- contact other departments directly for urgent repairs
- promptly attend to guest and departmental requests
- identify and report preventive or maintenance issues in public areas or guest rooms
