The role of Resort Assistant Manager – Night Manager at Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale is a pivotal position within the Rooms Operations team. This role primarily leads Front Desk operations during overnight shifts while playing a critical supporting role in Guest Services and Housekeeping. The appointed individual will oversee the overnight team, ensuring seamless guest experiences throughout the night, coordinating critical functions such as arrivals, departures, billing, and guest relations. As a manager on duty, the person in this position acts as the primary point of contact during overnight hours, responsible for upholding luxury service standards and resolving any challenges that may arise.

This leadership role involves managing, training, and coaching a diverse team to excel in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment. The Assistant Manager ensures compliance with financial and credit procedures, manages staffing schedules, and conducts performance evaluations. In addition, this individual maintains the safety, security, and wellbeing of both guests and employees during their shift. Job Requirements

  • Previous hotel or resort experience required or similar previous position in management
  • luxury hotel or resort experience preferred
  • experience with Forbes Travel Guide standards preferred
  • ability to work weekends and holidays with flexible work schedule
  • ability to stand or walk for up to 10 hours per shift
  • valid work authorization for the U.S.

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to manage, coach, counsel hourly staff in the Front Office department
  • previous hotel or resort experience required or similar previous position in management
  • luxury hotel or resort experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Manages the staff at the Front Desk & Overnight Team
  • serves as manager on duty and point of contact during overnight shifts
  • interviews, trains and schedules the staff and conducts performance evaluations and disciplines staff when needed
  • coordinates arrivals, departures and billing requirements with Sales and Catering Department
  • blocks rooms for arrivals and ensures any discrepancies are resolved
  • reviews daily arrivals to ensure proper handling of Special Attention Guests, Return Guests, and Groups
  • assures that all financial and credit procedures are followed
  • takes action in all matters related to the safety, security, satisfaction and well-being of hotel guests and employees when senior managers are not available
